The first of the two water parks at Walt Disney World®, Typhoon Lagoon keeps its cult following year-round, with little and big visitors alike falling for its twisting tides, roaring rapids and wild waterslides.
Another Disney legend, Typhoon Lagoon was said to have been hit by a freak storm. Today, the remains of the once-quiet coastal paradise are strewn throughout the park. Deckchairs ended up in palm trees, surfboards on roofs, and a local shrimp boat “Miss Tilly” lodged atop a volcano. Each half hour, the volcano produces a massive surge of water in an attempt to dislodge “Miss Tilly”. This water swells to create the largest wave pool in the world.
Water slides aplenty cater to a wide range of ages and interests at Typhoon Lagoon, while more unique experiences like snorkelling with sharks and surfing lessons keep underwater adventurers on their toes.
Typhoon Lagoon tickets are included in a range of Walt Disney World® Resort packages offered by Love Orlando Tickets.
